MCSR Replayoffs

Full MCSR Ranked races, both players on one screen, synced to the frame.

What we do

MCSR Ranked is a 1v1 ladder for Minecraft speedrunning: two runners get the same seed and race to kill the dragon. Each runner streams their own side. We put both streams into one video, so you watch the whole race the way it happened, side by side.

Every video is the full match. Titles and thumbnails never say who won, so you can watch it cold. So far that is 86 races with 33 runners.

How a video is made

  1. Match data. Players, splits and timings come from the public MCSR Ranked API.
  2. Both streams. The pipeline downloads the matching part of each runner's Twitch VOD.
  3. Frame-exact sync. It finds the pre-match countdown in each stream and lines the two up on it. When the detector is unsure, a person checks it by hand.
  4. The overlay. It draws the split timer, each runner's stats and the splits table as they happen, then renders the finished video.
The overlay's top band with both players' names and stats, the splits panel partway through a match, and the video's thumbnail

Runners: your footage, your call

If you're one of the runners in a video and want it down, say so in its comments and it comes down within a day.
